Shooting in the North at 1am in Finland

Misa Leiber shot these brilliant images in the middle of the night in Finland.
It's easy to forget that Summer in the northern latitudes means pretty much 24 hour sunshine (or rain if you're not in luck!)
Misa managed to wear his Flymount out - the first we've had in 6 years, so we replaced it under warranty and hope to get many more great images.
Thanks Misa!

The unique Flymount S1 shooting case for iPhones is ready for sale

Flymount's new and unique video shooting, wide angle water resistant and shockproof case for iPhone is out on the market as from today. See more here.
The Flymount S1 turns the lens through 90º so you don't shoot as if you are 'holding a dirty diaper' but in the more natural side-on manner.
Here's a shot of it in the rain

The lens is not just stuck onto the case but beautifully faired in so you shoot with the iPhone gripped naturally in your hand or clipped to your helmet with the supplied smooth and vented helmet mounts.
The S1 sits either on the side or top of your helmet and the Flymount app takes care of the orientation.
Shooting on an active holiday suddenly becomes easy, you don't risk your iPhone in water or smashing it on rocks because the case is strong - virgin polycarbonate. You can give it to the children to shoot playing in rock pools, your husband filming in the rain, biking in sun or wet - the possibilities are huge.
And it feels so good in the hand. You can shoot discretely because no-one suspects you've got a camera, you can skateboard alongside your friends shooting great video and then check the footage and upload it simply and quickly to you favourite site.
Flymount's S1 for iPhone is truly a revolutionary way to shoot with your phone.

Great Oscar Carmichael windsurfing shots

Oscar Carmichael always sends in great shots - looking good Oscar!

Great selfies with a Flymount on an SUP with Pete and Zara Davis

Pete and Zara Davis on a day off used their Flymount to get some selfies on their SUP boards.
Great use of a Flymount, lots of people think it's only for windsurfing, mountain biking or racing cars but professionals all round the world are using Flymounts to get great shots in awkward conditions and places.
We see them used on the BBC and Channel 5 - it's a game we play whenever you see a wide angle shot from some impossible position - spot the Flymount!

Flymount S1 due to come to the market in July

Here's a shot of the Flymount S1 for iPhones showing the revolutionary lens system and how images appear on the screen when it's used.
One of the great new benefits of the Flynount S1 is for hand-held video shooting while moving. You can do candid street shoots from low to high level, skateboard at really low level following your mates, in the rain and snow, by the beach - all without any danger of wrecking your iPhone.
We've dropped it onto hard concrete from 2 metres, rained and snowed on it and generally abused it - and the S1 has shone through.
The new iPhone coming in September will determine how we move forward - at the moment it's only a small change to fit the 6 but with rumours of a smaller phone we are waiting to see.

Flymount S1 on Indiegogo

We've put the new Flymount S1 on Idiegogo to spread the word - look it up!

The new Flymount S1 iPhone 4-5 case is rugged and water resistant

The new Flymount S1 iPhone 4-5 case is rugged and water resistant, great for shooting snow boarding, mountain biking, BMX, on the beach, at the lake - anywhere you need to shoot wide angle iPhone footage in rugged conditions.

Even better, you can let the kids play with it to get their special perspective without wrecking your phone.
The unique lens system on the Flymount S1 both widens the angle of view and rotates it so that, instead of shooting like a 'wet diaper' you can use it end-on to the action in a natural hand hold or helmet mount (side or top mount).
It's been thoroughly tested on the snow slopes, in the air and on the skateboard and BMX track for rugged reliability and simple funtion with the unique Flymount S1 app.
It's about to hit the market, for the iPhones 4, 4S, 5 and 5S and the 6 will be organised when we know the configuration of the new iPhone coming in September 2015.
The new Flymount S1 is a thing of beauty and everyone who holds it loves it.

Alexis Duparc sent this wonderful Flymount view in Défi, France.
That's a shot for the wall, it's so inclusive. look at those windsurfers placing themselves so carefully to make the composition flow!
It looks like someone has designed it to bring a view of airtime to the screen.

Lovely James Owen image using a Flymount

This image shows a fantastic hyper-real sense of involvement, shot by James Owen.
I'd think this was CGI if I didn't know it was genuine, love that water and sun. The composition's great, too.

Jeff Howard of PKS and Flymount USA using the new S1 in snow

One of the great things about the Flymount S1 for iPhones is the protection it gives to your phone while you are skiing. You can shoot busts of video using the remote and share them at the bottom. The virgin polycarbonate shell protects against water, shock and impact and the rotated wide angle lens gives you great views from helmet or hand held views.
Here's Jeff Howard with the Flymount S1 mounted on the side of his helmet.
