Nice boom shot by John Carter at the PWA World Tour

This is a great view, different from the mast position, and it shows an alternative POV from normal. It's easy to do with a Flymount because you can move from mast to boom quickly and securely, with minimal effort.
If it's hard to move your camera you tend to leave it in one spot, not so good for getting variety in your images.
Position your camera where you can get yourself and, if possible, other windsurfers in the frame. This creates perspective and a feel for 'place' that is richly rewarding when you get back to shore and start to share your images and video.
This shot from John Carter at the PWA World Tour shows what I mean.
