We have a new Garmin VIRB Elite which we've been testing in various locations from mountain biking to windsurfing in Tarifa and we'll have some more definitive reports in the next 2 weeks.
What I can say is that it is heavier than a GoPro and this can be a disadvantage on a rig where lightness is important so you may prefer to use it on a bike when the mass is lower down and far less obvious.
It seems that the Garmin is designed more for vehicles of some sort (bikes included) and they have added all the usual distance and position GPS and Wi-Fi stuff plus a small screen for set-up - which can be very useful. It feels quite nice in the hand, as well, and the controls seem pretty intuitive.
Here's a shot of it on the Flymount with the GoPro 2 adaptor for rigidity.

Ingrid Larouche with her new Flymount and ISAW Camera USA
Ingrid Larouche tries her new Flymount and the ISAW Camera USA. Not a camera I've tried but it's a GoPro mount camera, and looks much like a GoPro so it will be interesting to see what real users make of it.
From the footage I've seen it's not such high saturation as the latest GoPros but that's not always a disadvantage for video. You can easily add extra contrast and saturation in post, but losing it is pretty well impossible.
We'll try and get hold of an ISAW to test over the next year and report back.
In the meantime, here are some shots from Ingrid's first trial of her new toys:

John Carter shot of the day
This is one of the most perfect images I've seen in a long time. While it's entirely photographic in the sense of capturing the moment - 'The Decisive Moment' as Cartier Bresson put it so succinctly - yet it's also painterly in its aesthetic.
The light, composition and action make me want to be there and feel the sun and air and sea on me.
I look out at the grey UK winter and dream.

Nice boom shot by John Carter at the PWA World Tour
This is a great view, different from the mast position, and it shows an alternative POV from normal. It's easy to do with a Flymount because you can move from mast to boom quickly and securely, with minimal effort.
If it's hard to move your camera you tend to leave it in one spot, not so good for getting variety in your images.
Position your camera where you can get yourself and, if possible, other windsurfers in the frame. This creates perspective and a feel for 'place' that is richly rewarding when you get back to shore and start to share your images and video.
This shot from John Carter at the PWA World Tour shows what I mean.

Flymount racing at Brands Hatch with Mazda Racing and MEV
Jonathan Blake was racing at Brands Hatch in the Mazda based MEV Exocet from the Nottinghamshire works of Stuart Mills's MEV workshop.
We wanted to fit Flymounts and a variety of small cameras - GoPro, Contour and Drift - to the body and roll-bars but we had to get through scrutineering first. Having tested the Flymounts they were pronounced safe and secure and the guys left for some warm-up laps.
Our original intention was to have two cars with cameras behind them and by the mirrors so we could build a decent set of sequences into a short video.
All did not go well because the Contour, left in the hands of the other driver, was not switched on - although he thought he had done. So we ended up with the GoPro facing Jonathan and the Drift shooting from the roll bar. The weather was great and the shots and video were brilliant, now I want to do it again but much better and with more, and better cameras. I think the sensible option is simply to use one brand so all the footage will match nicely, so it will be GoPro this time on both cars.

Federico Infantino ITA - 999 makes the Flymount image of the day
What a great use of light and motion, catching the breaking wave, kissed by the sun and highlighting all the sail colours.
The Flymount was there, making it all possible but not long ago this sort of image would have been spolit by burnt-out highlights. The tonal range of the new cameras is fantastic.

Zara and her husband Pete Davis use JVC Adixxion cameras at the UKWA Slalom to film her and this is what Zara says:
"Zara Davis, Speed Windsurfer Flymount was brilliant, it took all the jarring from the boat at speed to deliver some great footage and even some amazing stills."

Great shot of the day, underwater with a Flymount on a mast
Versatile Flymount action camera mount works all over the place - only your imagination will limit the great shots you can bring back.
Great centre mast shots with the best action camera mount for windsurfing
Flymounts are great for boom and mast shots on a windsurf rig but there is a belief that you can only shoot one side or the other.
Here's the simple safe way to shoot great images down the luff and still have your Flymount quickly available for those side and bottom boom positions that make such good shots.
See the image on white below - just add the GoPro extension supplied in your pack - simple and very stable in action. This is using the Flymount GoPro 2 adaptor.
Ultra versatile Flymounts are the world's best action camera mounts for windsurfing.

BMX shots with Braden Bradford and a Flymount.
There's nothing like BMX for hard riding and stress on rider and machine so we sponsored Braden Bradford of Nottingham with a Flymount and he kindly used it with a GoPro on Bunney's track in Bulwell, Nottingham.
Braden is one of the top BMX riders and you can see why when you are there by the track - astonishing skill!
Here are some shots and the Flymount Video has a sequence showing the view.
